Try Applied Maths in Transition Year

TRY APPLIED MATHS IN TRANSITION YEAR

Transition Year is a great time to explore subjects before making your Senior Cycle choices.

Applied Maths can be difficult to understand until you experience it. Trying it during TY gives you the chance to see how you feel about the problem-solving, the way the Maths is applied and the different topics involved before deciding whether it is a subject you would like to continue with.

THREE WAYS TO TRY APPLIED MATHS IN TY

THROUGH YOUR SCHOOL

If your school offers Applied Maths during Transition Year, try it. It is a great opportunity to experience the subject before deciding whether you would like to continue with it for the Leaving Certificate.

JOIN AN EXTERNAL CLASS

If Applied Maths is available locally, you could join a Fifth Year class while you are in TY. It can keep your Maths sharp while giving you the chance to experience the subject properly.
